Hard not to like this team when they are healthy. When Sangs gets replaced by Pitkanen, they'll be one of the best in the east. If only Larose and Jussi could get going, or one freakin' ahl'r could learn to score at the NHL level.

Canes are suddenly healthier (knock on wood) minus only Pitkanen and long-term minus Ruutu, but the team is also 0-for-the-division at Tam 0-2, Fla 0-1, Wpg 0-1 and Was 0-1. Something has to give. I vote for a Canes sweep to get the monkey off their back and start stringing together some wins and distance in the standings.

Any word on starting keeper for today's game? I could use a nice goalie W and my rosters lock after the first puck of the day is dropped, which is at noon.

It depends on a few things. It would be nice if we were actually healthy so we could judge whether or not we are contenders as well. Remember, we are without Weaver, Versteeg, Bergenheim, Upshall, Jovoanovski.... so it isn't exactly smooth sailing. Also, Kovalev is being bought out. Oh, and our goaltending sucks for some reason.
